Kathmandu Kailash Manasarovar Tour – 18 days
Kathmandu has become a popular gateway to Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar tour. A 14-day tour is one of the most popular tours to Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarovar from Kathmandu that commences with an overland journey to Zhang-Mu, Tibetan border town. The program includes a 3-day circumambulation tour around Mt. Kailash as well as a 2-day stay at the shore of Lake Manasarover (Chiu Gompa side). For the remainder of the tour, we will travel to Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarovar and then return to Kathmandu. An alternative option is to end the tour in Lhasa.
The best time to visit Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar is between May and September. However, people travel in this region from April until the end of October. After October the weather in Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarovar becomes very cold.

Itinerary:
Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu. We meet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel
Day 02: Preparation day for Kailash Manasarovar journey
Day 03: Drive, Kathmandu to Nyalam (3750 m) — overnight at Nyalam Guesthouse.
Day 04: Rest at Nyalam Overnight at Nyalam Guesthouse
Day 05: Jeep tour (270 km), Nyalam to Saga (4600 m) where we will camp.
Day 06: Jeep tour (252 km), Saga to Paryang (4540 m) where we will camp
Day 07: Jeep tour (294 km), Parayang Lake Manasarovar (Chiugomba- 4550 m) —overnight in guesthouse.
Day 08: Lake Manasarivar where we will camp.
Day 09: Jeep tour: Lake Manasarovar to Darchen (4520 m) – overnight at guesthouse.
Day 10: Drive to Darboche & start trekking to Dera Phuk Gomba (4860 m).Trekking around Mt. Kailash.
Day 11: Deraphuk Gomba to Zutulphuk Gomba (4760 m).Trekking around Mt. Kailash.
Day 12: Complete trekking around Mt. Kailash and drive to Horaa Qui (4500 m) where we will camp.
Day 13: Jeep tour: Horaa Qui to Parayang where we will camp.
Day 14: Jeep tour: Paryang to Saga (4600 m) where we will camp.
Day 15: Jeep tour: Saga to Nyalam (3750 m – overnight at Nyalam Guesthouse.
Day 16: Drive to Zhang-Mu; then drive back to Kathmandu – transfer hotel.
Day 17: Free time in Kathmandu.
