A peak that lends itself to easier climbing, Yala has the twin advantages of amazing views that can be enjoyed by those with no previous mountaineering experience.
Situated just to the north of Kathmandu in the beautiful Langtang Valley, Yala summit looks out over the Tibetan Himalayas, including Shisapangma, the only 8000 m peak situated entirely in Tibet.
From Kathmandu we drive to Dhunche or Syabrubesi, then trek up the valley for three days. We explore the Langshisa glacier to help us acclimatise, establishing a high camp at 4800 m, from which we make our summit bid. After an alpine start under stars, we are on the summit by late morning.

Itinerary:

Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu. You will be met at the airport and transported to your hotel
Day 02 : Free time in Kathmandu
Day 03 : Drive, Kathmandu / Syabru Besi
Day 04 : Syabru Bensi / Lama Hotel (2480 m)
Day 05 : Lama Hotel / Langtang valley (3541 m)
Day 06 : Rest at Langtang valley (3541 m)
Day 07 : Langtang valley / Kyangjin Gompa (3900 m)
Day 08 : Rest at Kyangjing Gompa
Day 09 : Kyangjin Gompa / Yala Base Camp (5033 m)
Day 10 : Climb and back to Kyangjingompa
Day 11 : Kyangjin Gompa / Ghora tabela
Day 12 : Ghora Tabela / Syabru Besi
Day 13 : Syabru Besi / Kathmandu
Day 14 : Free time in Kathmandu
Day 15: Transported to airport – flight to onward destination
Note: Alternatively, you can trek to Gosaikunda Lake via the Helambu Region then continue to the Langtang Valley. This route will indeed help you to acclimatize.
